Amy Ash is a visual artist and educator, currently dividing her time between busy Brixton (London, UK) and the quietly dreamy east coast of Canada (Saint John, New Brunswick).
Her practice explores value systems which are quantifiably ambiguous. Recent investigations touch on abandonment/attachment, revalue, fabricated sentimentality, and the collective memory, as related to the construction of identity within contemporary society.
Originally from New Brunswick, Canada, Ash holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Brunswick.
Amy Ash is represented by Ingrid Mueller Art& Concepts, in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
