For what it's worth: The Revaluables consists of carefully scavenged and tenderly altered mementos. The installation invites the viewer make a keepsake of any piece in the exhibit, providing they leave something (anything goes!) of equal value in its place. The worth of both items is entirely up to the discretion of the viewer. In choosing their memento and making the exchange, the viewer attaches a worth to an object that otherwise has no market value. The viewer’s contribution then, in turn, becomes part of the installation.
